Meet the workhorse of the AAA fleet, VH-IRN ("Irene"). The registration was supposed to be short for Injected RobiN, but someone managed to name her "Irene," and the name stuck.

  

The R2160i has an AEIO-320 engine producing the same 160hp as the standard Robin, but with fuel injection and inverted fuel and oil systems. 

  

"Irene" is AAA's primary training aircraft, and will take you from your very first flying lesson through to AAA's Advanced Aerobatic Course and beyond! Where applicable, AAA students will be type-checked on both fuel-injection and carburetor versions.
