A pilot’s initial flying lessons is the most important flying course he or she will ever complete. It is in this period that a pilot’s habits, skills and attitudes are formed, and forms the basis of how he or she approaches every future airborne situation.

The Sydney flying school, Australian Aerobatic Academy's GFPT syllabus is a comprehensive flying training course which goes beyond the minimum CASA Day VFR Syllabus requirements to teach you the skills required to be a safe and proficient aviator.

The AAA GFPT course incorporates basic flying skills including basic aerobatics, emergency manoeuvre training including spin training, and advanced handling techniques. In addition to the standard Basic Aeronautical Knowledge requirements, the GFPT course includes a number of tutorials to further increase students’ knowledge of aircraft systems, operation and performance as well as human factors training.

All flying school Sydney lessons include FREE in-flight video recording facilities. Important aspects of the flight can be immediately replayed on the ground as part of the debriefing, so you don't miss out on the vital feedback you need to improve your skills! You can even take the video home to further enhance your learning for a notional fee.

The AAA GFPT course also incorporates, if you so desire, an endorsement to operate from both Bankstown and Wollongong airports, and graduates can hire aircraft at either location in Sydney!
